 Systems for Health Seminar Series: Transform Healthcare Systems

The School of Public Health of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) organises a seminar series for Division of Health System, Policy and Management. The objectives of the seminar series are to bring together organisations, individuals and policy makers with an interest on the subject, to identify issues, challenges and what further work needs to be undertaken.

     Community Responses and Preparedness to the Human Swine Influenza Epidemic in HK

    The School of Public Health at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has conducted a survey during May 7-9 2009 to assess the general public's responses to the emerging human swine flu (Influenza A H1N1) epidemic. The survey includes topics such as whether the general public is complacent or has been underestimating the risk; how does the general public rate the government’s reaction to the epidemic; whether the public is in panic; whether the public is vigilant in the prevention, as well as whether there are special concerns in the minds of the public. The School of Public Health will continue to monitor changes in relevant perceptions and behaviours over time.

    Details of this study are to be elaborated in the press conference tomorrow. Media representatives are cordially invited with details as below:
