Biography 

Professor SS Lee, MBBS, MD graduated from the Medical School of the University Hong Kong in 1982 and 1995 respectively.
After graduation he underwent training in internal medicine and clinical immunology,
followed by involvement in public health practice. He is currently a fellow with professional institutions in internal medicine,
pathology and public health. In 1991, Dr Lee was appointed head of Department of Health’s Special Preventive Programme for AIDS
and viral hepatitis.
In 2005, he joined the Chinese University of Hong Kong as chair professor in infectious diseases,
and is currently staff member of Stanley Ho Centre for Emerging infectious Diseases and Department of Microbiology.
His research interest includes epidemiology of infectious diseases, application of network analysis and GIS in public health,
and HIV treatment optimization.
