| A: |
No. All applicants are treated on an equal basis in the admission exercise. |

No. According to the Chinese University’s minimum entry requirements, applicants must obtain at least 7 passes in one sitting of HKCEE including two language subjects. |
| Q: |
If I have obtained 7 passes in one sitting of HKCEE and have re-taken the same subjects again in the following year with better results, is there any advantage to be considered by your department? |

No. We are only considering the results of HKCEE in one sitting. |

No, we only count HKCEE Chinese, English and five other best subjects in one sitting. |
| Q: |

| A: |
We only consider the HKCEE results obtained in one sitting. If a student has taken the examination twice, we will consider the results obtained two years prior to the year the student applies for admission to CUHK. Only if that year's HKCEE results cannot meet our admission requirements, we will consider the results obtained in other year(s). For example, a student's HKCEE results obtained in 2009 will be considered for admission in September 2011. If his/her 2009 HKCEE results cannot fulfill our admission requirements, then we will consider his/her HKCEE results obtained in other year(s). |

| Q: |

| A: |
