Centre for Systems for Health Director: Prof Eng Kiong YEOH Mission: “We seek to further the knowledge and understanding of the complexity of systems and how systems improve health; and work to transfer this knowledge and understanding to inform policy and support best practice.” The Centre for Systems for Health was established in early 2007 under School of Public Health. The strategic areas of development include research, education, consultancy, policy forums and publications.
Research The areas of research of the Centre are in health systems, health services and health policies. Research themes include primary care, non-communicable diseases, traditional Chinese medicine, health systems, health care financing, ageing, climate change health, global health and medical humanitarian response policy. The Centre works in partnership with the faculty, other university departments, government, and other sectors.
Postgraduate: Health policy, health services and health management modules for Master of Public Health (MPH), and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Care Programmes in collaboration with Faculties of Business Administration, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Undergraduate: Health services modules for major and minor programmes in Public Health, and medical students. Executive training: Flagship programs tailor-made to various institutions.
