Abstract:

Academic writing is a fact of life for all students, academics, and researchers. In order to succeed in the competitive world of academia, you must be able to communicate your ideas with grace, clarity and power. The goal of academic writing is to condense complex research, studies, and findings into one long essay that reads fluidly, and is easy for everyone to understand. A large percentage of the manuscripts that are submitted to academic journals for publication are rejected because the author’s research is not credible or the manuscripts are poorly written. Academic writing is a set of skills that can be learned and developed. This seminar provides a general approach and some key points for writing and successfully publishing journal papers.

The progress of over 200 projects was established, and over 30 in-depth case studies (deep dives) were carried out to establish ‘what worked for whom and why.’ Ten key themes emerged regarding implementation of the projects, and from these, an Implementation Framework was developed. The talk will describe the findings and the key aspects of the new framework.
