Prof. Martin Wong and Team Awarded First Distinguished Research Making Family Medicine Shine Award at WONCA 2018
The World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) announced the winners of the "First Distinguished Research Making Family Medicine Shine Award" on 18 October, 2018. Out of the 9 global awards, 3 research publications by Professor Martin Wong and his team at CUHK were selected as outstanding research. The awards were judged based on their originality and contribution to the field of Medicine. Professor Wong and his team at CUHK is dedicated to research on chronic disease prevention and colorectal cancer screening. The three research papers were published in the European Heart Journal, Gut and the American Journal of Gastroenterology. His team includes his two PhD graduates from CUHK, Dr. Jason Huang and Dr. Harry Wang, and under supervision of Prof. Joseph JY Sung and Professor Francis KL Chan.
