Prof. Chan joined the Department of Community Medicine (a forerunning unit of the School) as a full-time teacher in May 1986, and served until March 2003. She continued her service in the School in form of honorary position until June 2019. With great sadness, she passed away in Canada on 12 December 2020.
Prof. Chan was an associate professor with both teaching and clinical duties. Throughout her 17 years’ full-time service in CUHK, she nourished people around her with professionalism, knowledge and love. She was not just a caring teacher but a healing physician who earned great respect and adoration from her medical students and patients at the Lek Yuen Health Centre. Prof. Chan’s passion in teaching essential skills of doctoring lives on through her generous donation of the CU Cyke Student prizes for ‘Communication Skills and Holistic Care’ and ‘Patient and Team Communication’ in the medical year 5 and 6 at CU medicine.

悼念 - 陳兆儀教授
陳教授於1986年5月加入社區醫學系(本學院前身之一)擔任全職講師並服務至2003年3月。其後，她以榮譽身份任職至2019年6月。陳教授在2020年12月12日於加拿大病逝，本院深切哀悼。
陳教授以副教授的身份，一直肩負教學及臨床診斷重任。在中大超過十七年的服務期間，陳教授以其專業、知識與關愛，感染身邊的人，她不單是一位受醫科生愛戴的良師，也是在瀝源健康院接受過她治療的病人所敬重的醫生。
陳教授熱衷傳授行醫之道，慷慨捐款， 為修讀 “溝通技巧與全人關懷”和 “病人與團隊溝通”的第五及第六年的中大醫科生，設立特別的學生獎項。
