个人简历

劳向前教授在中山医科大学获得医学学位(医学学士),后在广州市第十二人民医院(广州市职业病防治院)担任公共卫生医师多年。他又分别在北京协和医学院和香港大学攻读医学硕士和博士学位。随后,他前往美国,在杜克医学中心杜克基因组科学与政策研究所接受遗传流行病学培训,并担任博士后研究员。

劳教授于2009年加入赛马会公共卫生与基层医疗学院。他的研究重点是空气污染对健康的影响和慢性非传染性疾病的流行病学。老博士特别擅长利用大规模的队列研究来系统地研究空气污染和健康影响。他的研究工作已在Circulation、The Lancet Planetary Health、JACI、EHP、IJE、BJSM、Hypertension和Diabetologia等多家权威医学杂志上发表。他的研究工作不仅在学术上有重大影响,产生了大量的科学知识,而且对社会福祉也有贡献,特别是在提高公众对空气污染对健康影响的认识和指导政策制定方面。老博士曾受香港政府邀请审查和制定香港空气质量标准。他的研究工作已被路透社、协理报、新闻周刊和南华早报等媒体和报刊广泛报道。
