個人簡介

勞向前教授在中山醫科大學獲得醫學學位(醫學學士),後在廣州市第十二人民醫院(廣州市職業病防治院)擔任公共衞生醫師多年。 他又分別在北京協和醫學院和香港大學攻讀醫學碩士和博士學位。 隨後,他前往美國,在杜克醫學中心杜克基因組科學與政策研究所接受遺傳流行病學培訓,並擔任博士後研究員。

勞教授於2009年加入賽馬會公共衞生與基層醫療學院。 他的研究重點是空氣污染對健康的影響和慢性非傳染性疾病的流行病學。 老博士特別擅長利用大規模的佇列研究來系統地研究空氣污染和健康影響。 他的研究工作已在Circulation、The Lancet Planetary Health、JACI、EHP、IJE、BJSM、Hypertension和Diabetologia等多家權威醫學雜誌上發表。 他的研究工作不僅在學術上有重大影響,產生了大量的科學知識,而且對社會福祉也有貢獻,特別是在提高公眾對空氣污染對健康影響的認識和指導政策制定方面。 勞博士曾受香港政府邀請審查和制定香港空氣質量標準。 他的研究工作已被路透社、協理報、新聞週刊和南華早報等媒體和報刊廣泛報導。
