Director’s Message
Welcome to our School, the only institution in Hong Kong where public health practitioners and researchers collaborate with family medicine doctors and primary care researchers to identify, examine, and solve population health problems together. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to enhancing health through rigorous research, innovative education, and dedicated service. We focus on the broader environment around us, both locally and globally, which influences how we live and affects our health and well-being.
Humanity faces significant health challenges, ranging from infectious diseases and pandemics to chronic conditions, environmental hazards, climate change, and health inequities. In response, we strive to provide a thriving platform for innovative and impactful research that seeks solutions to local and global public health challenges. We advocate for evidence-based practices that can improve people’s health.
As we continue to grow as a comprehensive school, we have achieved significant developments in recent years. These include attaining international accreditation for both our bachelor’s and master’s programs in public health and contributing to national health-sector reform through talent development. We invite you to join us on this exciting journey to make a difference in the lives of people around the world.
